All about trojan removals

Welcome on Trojan Removal – Blog. Today I want to write small review of very effective software, which can help you against Trojan and other spywares – Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition 8.0, was created by Lavasoft. Lavasoft is provider of anti-spyware solutions, which are delivered to consumers, businesses, corporations, educational, governmental and non-profit organizations.

The Anniversary Edition is another version of popular software and is version released in 2009. This version loads faster during your boot cycle and scans take less time than in previous versions (around 10 minutes).

Well, we must realize that this free version is less effective then commercial one – some important features are disabled. While rootkit detection is present, heuristics and real-time registry protection are not available in free version. Also Ad-Aware Free can’t scan networked drives, and even a basic feature like the scheduler remains off-limits to non-paying customers. I think that Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition uses up too much of the computers resources which can make your computer totally unstable. In other hand, compared to other version of Ad-Aware -for the first time has real time protection with the free version. Although it’s limited, it’s still better than a lot of free rivals – they have finally learned from the 2008 version which was hopeless and re wrote most of this edition. I also noticed and like “Quick Scan” function to clear all items associated with web browsers (IE, Opera, FireFox), it’s maybe nothing, but always something ;-)

Positive sides:
- Well, it’s for free :-)
- It’s so easy to use :-)
- I love “Quick Clean” function

Negative sides:
- Commercial version is a lot better
- Ad-Aware Anniversary Edition 8.0 can really eat most of your system resource = your system can be very unstable

Welcome on Trojan Removal – Blog. Well, If you use a computer, you probably know something about malware – malicious software. These very dangerous and also annoying programs can make a real havoc on your computer. What many people don’t know is that there are many different types of infections that are categorized in the general category of Malware. That’s why I want to add small dictionary and ABC related to all kind of Malware and other dangerous softwares.

Malware – Malware is programming or files that are developed for the purpose of doing harm. Thus, malware includes computer viruses, worms, Trojan horses, spyware, hijackers, and certain type of adware.

Virus – Well, virus is a program that when run, has the ability to self-replicate by infecting other software and files on your PC. These softwares can have many effects ranging from deleting your data, displaying a joke, or doing nothing. These types of infections tend to be localized to your computer and not have the ability to spread to another computer on their own.

Ad-ware – A program that generates all kind of pop-ups on your PC or advertisements. Well, you should know that not all ad-ware programs are necessarily considered malware. There are many legitimate programs that are given for free that display ads in their softwares in order to generate revenue.

Worm – Dangerous program that when run, has the ability to spread to other computers on its own using either mass-mailing techniques to email addresses found on your computer or by using the Internet to infect a remote computer.

Spyware – A program that monitors and gather all kind of information about your activityn on your computer and sends that information to a remote computer without your knowledge. If you’ve got some important data on your hard drive, you can be in a real trouble.

Trojan – Software that has been created to appear innocent, but has been intentionally designed to cause various malicious activity.

Hijackers – Software that attempts to hijack certain Internet functions like redirecting your start page to the hijacker’s own start page. These programs also redirect search queries to a undesired search engine etc.
